Gold & Gumboots - A history of Staghorn Flat by Ian Touzel
The Avenue of Honour and the Hume and Hovell
cairn,
Yackandandah Road, Staghorn Flat, 1966.
The avenue was first established after World War 1. English oaks were
planted for those
men who returned and pencil cyprusses for the fallen.
A later planting of populars at the southern end of the avenue
was in recognition of those who served in World War 2.
