Gold & Gumboots - A history of Staghorn Flat by Ian Touzel
World War 1 Honour Roll

The Honour Roll commemorating those men who enlisted in
World War I took the unusual form of a large framed photo collection
plus five individual portraits of those who died on active service.
In the early 1990s the main roll was ruined by water damage.
Currently a project is underway to restore, as far as is feasible, the roll.
The table below details the progress made in
reconstituting the Honour Roll as at April 2003.

Drawing on contemporary records the following are possible candidates
for the remaining four unidentified photos: Jack A Ashworth, Ernest Bartel,
RP Brewer, Ted Cahoun (or Cahoon), Roy Elliot, Reg Mason,
William Watkins, RE White, Augustus (Gus) Wise.
Ian would greatly appreciate receiving information on those individual
photos which remain unnamed and loan of replacement photographs. -
