Gold & Gumboots - A history of Staghorn Flat by Ian Touzel
Historic Marker, Avenue of Honour, Staghorn Flat.
This memorial was unveiled and dedicated at a service held on 9 March 2003
attended by nearly 300 people. The large plaque honours those with
connections to Staghorn Flat who served in World Wars I and II.
A second smaller plaque commemorates Staghorn Flat State School No.1593
and Hedley Colwell, Head Teacher 1889-1929.
